From the south you’ll come approach from the A64.
If its daytime/sunset come off the A64 towards Stamford Bridge and stock up at The Balloon Tree farm shop (it’s lovely) or via Kirkham Priory as the view as you approach from the A64 is striking.
From the north you’ll likely come Thirsk way – it’s a lovely run through the countryside.
The Port of Hull is 1 hour drive from here. Beverley is a lovely stopping point if you want a cultural stop off half way here.
The Port of Newcastle is 2 hours and its a straight run through from there (we love DFDS!)
York is 2hrs from London and Newcastle – the connecting train from York to Malton is 30 mins with an 8 minute taxi ride from Malton train station to us in Burythorpe.
There is access to a helipad in the village. It is only a couple of minutes walk to Kingfisher Cabin and 8 minutes walk to Yew Tree Cottage. This must be booked in advance, and is dependent on availability.
We are just over an hour from Humberside airport (regular flights from Amsterdam)
1hr 10mins from Leeds Bradford airport
2 hrs from Manchester airport (by train) or 2-3 hours by car depending on traffic.
